The Next Stage of a New Life for this Grade II Listed Building
The Grade II listed Hippodrome Theatre opened in 1913, designed as a music hall by Bertie Crewe.
The building has had various uses over the years including functioning as a BBC recording studio. Hillsong now use the building as a church, and hold concerts, conferences, drama and dance festivals along with other community uses.
The scheme has Listed Building Approval and the proposals include the removal of insensitive modern interventions to return the glory of the original theatre, conserving the building in its entirety while taking into account current Venue requirements.
