Live On Air: BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Moves In
BBC Radio Cambridgeshire is now broadcasting live from its new regional home at Lothbury House, Cambridge, serving audiences across Cambridge, Peterborough, Huntingdon, St Ives and the Fens.
The station’s relocation marks a significant upgrade in regional broadcasting capability with Fit-out works being completed in November 2024, allowing BBC Technology to begin its technical installation.
Flanagan Lawrence led the transformation in collaboration with BBC Workplace, BBC Technology, and Parkeray, and have delivered a sustainable, modern broadcast hub that supports creativity, flexibility, and accessibility.
The design reflects the BBC’s evolving workplace model which balances the needs of office-based and hybrid working teams. The fully refurbished space includes a high-performance audio studio, multimedia production suite, edit facilities, and a fully equipped newsroom.
Open, inclusive and designed for long-term flexibility, Lothbury House is a welcoming environment for BBC staff to collaborate, produce, and connect with their communities across Cambridgeshire.
