Vacant Grade II Queens Theatre, Burslem, will be reborn as a 1,000-seat rock venue with café, museum and recording studios. Closed since 2003, it sits beside Andy Edwards’ statue of Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, anchoring a new cultural hub in Stoke-on-Trent.
The proposal is to renovate the vacant Queens Theatre in Burslem, Stoke -on-Trent into a rock music venue with a café, a museum and music studios. The Auditorium will hold over 1000 people. The Grade II listed venue has been closed since 2003 and is adjacent to the statue of Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, by Andy Edwards, which was unveiled in his hometown on 9th May to mark 10 years since the singer’s death and 50 years since Motorhead were formed.
