#FLonsite: 99 Queen Victoria Street
As we work towards achieving Net Zero on our projects, the extensive refurbishment of 99 Queen Victoria Street, in the City of London, is on site and moving apace towards completion in the Summer. The existing building was completed in 2004 and our scheme is a shining example of how we enhance value through design.
The main focus of the scheme is the integrated state-of-the-art sustainable design and operational standards to meet Net Zero targets which include an array of outstanding green, renewable, energy-efficient features. The retrofit is on target to achieve BREEAM Outstanding, EPC A Rating, Nabers 5 star, and Wired Platinum.
The design also prioritises wellness, featuring open, well-ventilated communal areas, adaptable amenity spaces, and a rooftop garden terrace. This terrace, nestled within the iconic urban landscape of St Paul’s, provides a green retreat for relaxation, meetings, and social gatherings.
This project demonstrates how commercial spaces can merge exceptional performance with sustainable design, setting a new standard for workplace retrofits.
“The initial action plan for this retrofit scheme was to reduce the climate impact of an aged building and this core fundamental has been carried through in every level of design. Combined with a focus on sustained wellness of occupants this building seeks to acknowledge the impact the built environment has on users and climate change.”
