The BBC’s local radio station covers the county of Cambridgeshire including Cambridge, Peterborough, Huntingdon, St Ives and the Fens. Fit out works were completed in November 2024 allowing BBC Technology to commence with their technical installation which completed at the end of April 2025.
Working in collaboration with BBC Workplace and BBC Technology, Flanagan Lawrence, successfully refurbished the existing building to form a new sustainable regional broadcast hub that is open and flexible, fully accessible and inclusive, creating an environment for staff to be creative and to deliver their best work, reflecting the needs of office based staff and those working between home and the office.
The works included the creation of a new audio studio; multi-media production space; edit suites and a newsroom.
