Paul Bavister

At Flanagan Lawrence, Paul acts as our Senior Associate Director R&D, responsible for leading the practice’s research and development. Paul specialises on projects which include acoustic and performance spaces.

Paul is currently leading the team on the project forRiverside Studios which will deliver state-of-the-art facilities within a new ‘Digital Arts Centre’. Paul is also involved with the design of The University of St. Andrews’ New Music Centre, as well as the award-winning Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff.

He also worked on the redevelopment of the foyers at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, and a modular acoustic panelling system for the Royal College of Music.

An active member of Audialsense, Paul gives lectures on the relationships between sound-art and architecture across universities in London. His work has been published in the likes of the RIBA Journal, Building Design, AD: Hypersurface Architecture and the AD Tom Kovac monograph.
