This single family home occupies the site of a now-demolished public house, and is located in a quiet Belgravia mews within a conservation area. Flanagan Lawrence has developed the project from early feasibility stage and has been responsible for the interior architecture and design from concept through to completion, as well as acting as contract administrator. Arranged across five floors, the project comprises dining room, study, formal and informal living rooms, four bedrooms, guest accommodation and maids quarters, as well as a large, high spec kitchen and family room, a butler’s pantry, utility and laundry rooms, and six bathrooms. Below ground level there is a basement leisure complex comprising cinema, wine cellar, swimming pool and gym.
The four upper levels are connected by an impressive cantilevered stone staircase, while a minimal steel and glass staircase leads to the swimming pool and gym at the lowest basement level. The house also features an integral garage and a roof terrace. A palette of high-grade natural materials has been specified throughout the house.
